Down District Council offer a free pest advisory service and can visit residents and businesses in the District to give advice on:
- Identification of the pest species and an indication of the extent of the problem.
- The control treatment best suited to the type of pest, and how this should be undertaken.
- Cleaning practices, and improvements in house keeping, to minimise the attraction of pests.
- Proofing measures which may be carried out during and after eradication of the pest.
The Council also sells a range of poisons and sprays to help eliminate pests.
