Council & Committee Services
The Administration Department services the meetings of the Council, save for the Cultural and Economic Development and Recreation and Technical Services Committees which are serviced by their respective Departments.
Administration provides administrative support to Council through the timetabling of meetings, issuing of agendas, preparation and distribution of minutes and action sheets, upkeep of minute books and publication of minutes on the Council’s website and dealing with queries from both Councillors, Council Officers, members of the public and external bodies.
The meetings serviced are:
- Audit Committee
- Community Safety Partnership
- Council Meeting
- Down District Policing Partnership
- Health Committee
- Policy and Resources Committee
- Public Services Council Meeting
- Special Council Meeting
- Sub Committees/Workshops
Additionally the Department organises and services site and office meetings relating to planning matters.
The Department also organises conference and travel arrangements on behalf of Councillors.
