If you have a problem with any of the following:
- Mice
- Rats
- Wasps nests
- Fleas
- Cockroaches
- Psocids (Booklice)
or any other type of household or food pest then you can contact Environmental Health which provides advice on eradicating rodent and insect pests. Your house can be visited to give advice on the following:
- Identification of the pest species and an indication of the extent of the problem.
- The control treatment best suited to the type of pest, and the area in which it is found.
- Cleaning practices, and improvements in house keeping, to minimise the attraction of pests.
- Proofing measures which may be carried out during and after eradication of the pest.
The Council also sells poisons and sprays to eliminate pests and the officer may also give advice on employing a pest control contractor if you cannot carry out the treatment yourself.
