Directions: Take A2 out of Newcastle, 4 miles to Dundrum village, turn left up School Hill in middle of village, take first right (signposted).

Description: Ruined round tower marks site of important early monastery, founded in 6th century by St Donard.
Directions: Take A50 to Castlewellan, turn right at Burrendale Hotel on to Corrigs Road. Signposted beside Church of Ireland Parish Church.

Directions: From Downpatrick follow A22 to Killyleagh. One way system in operation. You can drive up to Castle via Plantation Lane or Frederick Street and down High Street only.
